We provide Vermiculite in very small amounts. You won't need more for your metal clay jewelry. Das Vermiculite doesn't burn itself, you can use it over and over again.

Due to its fine grid Vermiculite will fit to any shape of metal clay jewelry and object. Don't fill it into hollow forms or rings in any case. As Vermiculite keeps shape even at high temperatures, metal clay pieces may brake or loose shape "from nside" while shrinking. You can pour a small amount of Vermiculite directly onto a firing shelf like a sturdy fiber blanket or into a small firing container and imbed your metal clay jewelry.
